			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Do you catch yourself reading the <strong>Fitness Magazines</strong> and getting more and more <strong>frustrated</strong>?  You know what?  I have <strong>STOPPED</strong> reading these magazines.  There is just too much pseudo-science included with crazy misinterpreted research.  In fact, I find all the nutrition advice that they contain to be very confusing.</p>
<p>Sometimes it&#8217;s eating low-carb and never eating fruit, other times it&#8217;s only eating fat with your protein and only eating carbs after your workout or… you get the picture… very confusing.  For some reason we have been convinced that the more COMPLICATED the diet program, the more effective it will be, which is simply not true.</p>
<p>Now what is true is that many of us would benefit from eating a little less sugar and little more healthy fats. But, this doesn’t mean we should COMPLETELY avoid sugar, or swallow 10 fish oils pills every day.  And it is definitely true that <strong>fruits and vegetables are good for your health</strong>, but this doesn’t mean we MUST be a vegetarian to be healthy.</p>
<p>Do you agree with me that the rest of the pill-popping, protein shake-drinking portion-measuring food-avoiding dogma that goes along with what we believe to be &#8220;healthy eating&#8221; is crazy and can drive you nuts?   Really, that routine can be TOXIC to your health both physically and emotionally such that you just want to GIVE UP!  ☹  Losing weight should not be about self-punishment and denial.</p>
<p>The truth is that the vast majority of us simply need to eat the way we normally do, follow a resistance training workout program and fast once or twice a week using the Eat Stop Eat method.  That will result in dramatic weight loss results.</p>
<p>It’s true – You can get lose weight WITHOUT having to be obsessed with the latest diet trend.  Thank goodness, most of us can simply eat in a stress free way that has a hint of responsibility.  I’m sure you have enough stress in your life already. Worrying about some super complicated way of eating shouldn&#8217;t be yet another thing to worry about. Especially if it doesn’t even improve your health or the way you look.</p>
<p>We can absolutely lose weight and get lean without having to be a slave to some complicated diet plan or the latest ‘rules’ of healthy eating.  Weight loss shouldn&#8217;t come at the expense of our sanity. <p>Myth #1 &#8211; Good weight loss programs need to be complicated, with special charts and graphs and calorie calorie cycling. Limiting what to eat and when to eat based on your specific metabolic type / blood type / birth stone / horoscope sign.</p>
<p>FACT: The simpler the program the better the results will be. The more restrictive the diet, the more likely it will fail you. A bad weight loss plan will be complicated and hard to follow practically guaranteeing failure.</p>
<p>Myth #2 &#8211; Weight loss comes from WHAT you eat, not HOW MUCH you eat. You must be in total control of what you eat. You must deny yourself anything that tastes good.</p>
<p>FACT: Fact: As soon as you find a simple way to eat less calories you&#8217;ve won the battle, stressing over special ways to eat and special types of food to eat will NOT improve your weight loss. The bottom line is that to lose weight you simply MUST eat less calories than you burn off.</p>
<p>Myth #3 &#8211; Intermittent Fasting is just another type of diet fad and is only for young people.</p>
<p>FACT: From professional fitness models to 53 year old Doctors, an amazing amount of people are switching to flexible intermittent fasting which is supported by a large amount of research and is effective for many people of all different ages and walks of life.</p>
<p>Myth #4 &#8211; Some macronutrients have a special effect they have &#8216;fat burning hormones&#8217; and are better than others for losing weight.</p>
<p>Fact: Protein really isn&#8217;t that special, Fat is not bad, and carbohydrates are perfectly fine to eat, even sugar! (moderation is the key.)</p>
<p>Myth #5 &#8211; If you don&#8217;t eat every two to three hours you will lose significant amounts of muscle.</p>
<p>FACT: As long as you follow a well designed workout plan, you will not lose muscle if you miss a meal. In fact, you won&#8217;t even lose muscle if you miss an entire day of meals.</p>
<p>The bottom line is that weight loss does not have to be frustrating, complicated or involve secret combinations of foods.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So…you’ve been overweight for years and feel like you have tried everything to lose weight.  You’re reading this article hoping that there really is a quick weight loss plan that will work.  You have ridden the roller coaster losing weight only to gain it back and maybe even more.  People look at you and label you a loser in every way except weight loss.  It seems like the only quick weight loss plan that could work would be major surgery.  You wish it was as easy as quitting smoking but you can’t go “cold turkey” on food!  You have paid to be part of a quick weight loss plan group but it just feels like you are paying good money to hear someone tell you how bad you’ve been again.</p>
<p>Well, you my friend are not alone.  34 % Percent of adults age 20 years and over are obese (2007-2008) and add to that another 34 percent of adults age 20 years and are overweight (and not obese). (2007-2008)</p>
<p>We are getting better and better at understanding what causes weight gain and how to put in place a quick weight loss plan focused on health.  Overweight and obesity result from an energy imbalance.
