Quick Weight Loss Plan – Fads and Fiction

Do you catch yourself reading the Fitness Magazines and getting more and more frustrated? You know what? I have STOPPED reading these magazines. There is just too much pseudo-science included with crazy misinterpreted research. In fact, I find all the nutrition advice that they contain to be very confusing.

Sometimes it’s eating low-carb and never eating fruit, other times it’s only eating fat with your protein and only eating carbs after your workout or… you get the picture… very confusing. For some reason we have been convinced that the more COMPLICATED the diet program, the more effective it will be, which is simply not true.

Now what is true is that many of us would benefit from eating a little less sugar and little more healthy fats. But, this doesn’t mean we should COMPLETELY avoid sugar, or swallow 10 fish oils pills every day.  And it is definitely true that fruits and vegetables are good for your health, but this doesn’t mean we MUST be a vegetarian to be healthy.

Do you agree with me that the rest of the pill-popping, protein shake-drinking portion-measuring food-avoiding dogma that goes along with what we believe to be “healthy eating” is crazy and can drive you nuts? Really, that routine can be TOXIC to your health both physically and emotionally such that you just want to GIVE UP! ☹ Losing weight should not be about self-punishment and denial.

The truth is that the vast majority of us simply need to eat the way we normally do, follow a resistance training workout program and fast once or twice a week using the Eat Stop Eat method. That will result in dramatic weight loss results.
